Facilities

Emergency Housing
Mercy House has 12 efficiency apartments that serve families for six months of emergency housing. These apartments have one large room for eating and sleeping, a galley-style kitchen and a private bathroom. Each apartment building has a laundry room and telephone service.

Sandal House
Sandal House is for homeless teen mothers who need a place to live due to substandard housing, abuse or eviction. Sandal House has accommodations for three teens with babies. These units are rent free with all utilities paid.

Transitional Housing
We rent three apartments and one house and own one manufactured home.  These 5 units serve families for one year of transitional housing as they work to improve their standard of living through education and training.  Families in transitional housing are charged 30% of their income plus utilities for these accommodations.

It costs Mercy House an average of $10 per day to house each homeless person.  All participants in Mercy House housing have use of the food pantry and are allowed to shop for clothing at the Mercy House Thrift Store at no cost.
